The Village, Alentejo (Moinho do Outeiro)

I had an amazing time staying 6 weeks at the Village, together with my cat. Such a beautiful place, perfect to overwinter! Very well kept, and a super positive atmosphere. Big thanks to Pete and Matt, and the 4 sweet cats! Tucked away in a wonderful forest, but still so close to a very friendly and not too busy beach, the town and shops: perfect location! Surf rentals on site, great recommendations and help with everything. I will be back !! Can’t even imagine how awesome it will be here in Summer, with the pool, BBQ and lots of cool outdoor games at hand: will be great getaway for a family or friends holiday! Reyer and Spooky

What an AMAZING place. I enjoyed a long weekend with a group of friends and really can’t recommend The Village highly enough. The welcome from Pete, Matt & Jake immediately set the tone for a relaxing and revitalising weekend. Such a peaceful place but lovely beaches and local towns are also close by. I will definitely return with the whole family before too long. Thank you again for a fantastic stay

We had an amazing 2 weeks in the Village. Pete, Jake and Matt are very welcoming and easy going, making us feel at home right away. The place is a little piece of quiet paradise; we felt relaxed the moment we arrived. We stayed in the Mill and the house is perfect. Great shower, amazing bed, lots of space and the outside terrace is the cherry on top. I loved slowly waking up in the morning there with a tea while the first rays of sun are hitting the deck and the only sounds are birds. Apart from relaxing completely there are a lot of fun things to do. We enjoyed workouts in the gym or yoga near the pool, basketball, surf skate and playing games like Kubb and darts (which I all lost, but it was still fun ;). By car you’re close to (surf) beaches, stores and restaurants. We’ve been to the area six times now and the village is absolutely a favorite. Can’t wait to be back.
