It was a welcome sight for us after a 14-15-mile hike. It's a basic refugio with dorm-type rooms and shared bathrooms. There were seven of us in our room. Dinner and breakfast were basic too. If you want a frat or hostel-type vibe, this is the refugio for you. If you want peace and quiet, book the one before or after.

Stayed here on night one of the TMB. Great location for getting an early start on Day 2 and staying ahead of crowds. Shower lines can get long and storage room is a bit convoluted in terms of access, but a friendly staff and good food makes up for any inconveniences. A nice stay
