Pension en Plein Air

Plein Air doesn’t get 5 stars because it’s the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It gets 5 stars because it perfectly satisfies the needs it is intended to and then the staff, especially Gabriel, goes above and beyond to ensure comfort and provide delicious and nourishing meals. The rooms are basic dormitories but that’s the point. We weren’t expecting a fancy hotel and our expectations were met and then exceeded. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. Dinner was lovely. Hearty, cheesy roast potatoes with bacon. A lovely salad bar with an assortment of pickled vegetables. Breakfast served great strong coffee, toast, cheese, meats, muesli, fruit, yogurt, and more. We were well fed and able to continue our tour du Mont Blanc because we rested well and were nourished by the accommodations. Thank you Gabriel and staff!

We stayed here with a group of friends during our TMB hike. The place was really nice, and the food was great. We also had some drinks on the terrace, and the vibe was just amazing. Prices are fair for the quality. 🤙

After having read the reviews, we were very nervous about this place. luckily it turned out to be one of the best refuges on the whole tmb hike. Service is amazing and we had everything the needed in the rooms. It's very clean everywhere and the showers are great! There could be more meat for dinner, but other than that it was a good experience. They really managed to turn this place around it seems.
