Palmares Ocean Living & Golf

This is a review of the golf course. Not the hotel. I wrote a review of the course exactly 2 years ago and to be blunt it was scathing, the course was in terrible condition and it took a lot of to and from to get acknowledgement of the issue the it wasn't even worth €50 to play never mind the €110 it actually was. To their credit I was given a voucher to return, which I did today. At €135 pp plus cart it is expensive. We played the Lagos/Praia 18 hole combo. The views are amazing ( don't spoil them with hundreds of little white apartments). The course was like a different place, good condition, lovely greens (and very quick)and much better manicured all round. Couldn't fault it or the service from the staff. Negative points: getting to and from the clubhouse is by pick up on a large golf cart and the parking is quite a way from the clubhouse. Bring water, you get a very small carton of water for a 5 hour round. No ice in cart and no GPS. It's a long hilly walk, I like walking courses but this would have been tough. Clubhouse food and drink expensive. I'd say go and play it now, it's good.

What a great golf experience here, Barbara and the golf reception team were brilliant, friendly and very helpful. Jason on buggy duty was very good and gave us all the information we needed. The Starter and Marshall were great at keeping the course moving so it was a really good experience. The courses are challenging layout and considering the recent weather conditions had held up very well congrats to the greenkeeper team. Overall a great experience

Didnt stay as i was on a one day visit for the golf. I loved how attentive the staff were and they really made a fuss of me. The views from the clubhouse and bar were stunning. Keen golfers will be pleased to have a choice of 27 holes to choose from. Whether you are a golfer or just a tourist then this place is defintely worth a visit. Only 10 mins Uber ride from Lagos central
