I love this place and will definitely come back. The location is beautiful, the people are nice and the activities are so much fun. The hikes around Burgau are beautiful. The kite lessons were a lot of fun. It is the perfect blend of a relaxing retreat, action and social interaction with like-minded people. If you want to, you can meet a lot of international people. I especially recommend it for solo traveling people that want to meet new people and learn a new skill. My personal highlight was the pancakes in the mornings. All in all, for me it was the perfect vacation.

Ocean Spirits Lodge in Burgau, Portugal, is a fantastic place to learn how to kite. The vibe is super chill and welcoming – not a party hostel, but perfect for a relaxed, social atmosphere. They host fun events like pizza nights, which are a great way to meet other guests. The daily kite classes are excellent. The equipment is top-notch, and the instructors are friendly, professional, and make you feel completely safe. I made great progress and can’t wait to come back! I also loved the yoga classes out in nature and the really cool SUP tour in Lagos – both were amazing add-ons to the experience. Great value for the price, especially for solo travelers – everything felt easy and hassle-free. The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Burgau itself is a charming little town with a peaceful atmosphere. There are plenty of hiking trails, good restaurants, and a beautiful beach nearby. Plus, it’s just a short drive to Sagres and Lagos if you want to explore further. Can’t recommend this place enough – I’ll definitely be returning!

Such a lovely spot in the south of Portugal with breathtaking beaches all around. The daily kite lessons are a great way to enjoy the sea and improve your skills. The vibe is super relaxed, and the friendly staff make you feel right at home. Definitely a place to unwind and have fun!
