Out of this world food, largely from the garden. The best evening meal we have had so far on the TMB. Breakfast also the most basic we have had with minimal choice. The room was delightfully quaint with nice bedding. The only downside is we ordered a bottle of red wine with our evening meal, there wasn’t a wine menu to choose from. We were charged €45 which seems obsured for one bottle of red. So my review is quite simple a review of two halves!

We booked as a party of nine for family occasion. The hotel facilities are a little out- dated but this is more than made up for by friendly staff and a spectacular situation. Our rooms and the dining room all had jaw-dropping views. We had pre-ordered raclette which was served by our host and grandson along with superb local wines. Thoroughly recommend for anyone - but the relaxed atmosphere and flexible service would be particularly appreciated by people travelling with children. Our hosts waved us off by ringing cowbells!

We stayed here at Hotel Belvedere during our trek on the Tour du Mont Blanc. This easily became one of my favorite places we stayed! It felt so personal and just like home. I'm making assumptions here- but It seemed like it was owned by an older man, and his son, or relative, who was also helping and hosting, they were both so nice and attentive. We speak no German or French and the older man didn't speak english. The (assuming) son helped translate any need or question we had. Home cooked meals were served after the 7 pm dinner bell was rung. Salad and vegetables were harvested FRESH from their garden, and it was spectacular. A true farm to table experience. Dinner appeared to be roti, some kind of beef/steak with gravy and mushrooms, and for desert homemade cinnamon ice cream and fresh berries. This meal was included in our stay and was the best one out of all hotels. Unfortunately, we will be missing the breakfast that's included because we are leaving very early to beat the heat on our hike. We asked if we could get lunches made for us for the trail, and it was 5 swiss Franc each. We had homemade sandwiches, a green apple, and a snickers bar. I just can't get over how lovely these people are and how beautiful their home (assuming they also live here) is and the gratitude I feel to have been able to have this experience here. We had a view of the garden from our balcony, and the hotel linens were being hung out to dry. If you've never hung your linens out to dry in mountain air; you're missing out. It was another beautiful touch. I loved this place so much.
