Quality Hotel Augustin

Our booked room smelled of cigarette smoke. The Second room (which was the last available one) hadnt been properly cleaned as there was a deodorant still sitting in the bathroom, clearly visible, on the counter. On top of that there were no AC and both outlets by the bed were broken. We received no compensation excluding the price adjustment for downgrading to the second, smaller room. Breakfast was 7/10 Great Location close to city centre

Great location and superb breakfast! So much choice and especially nice to see gluten free and other allergen options kept separately from other food to stop contamination. Staff were friendly and helpful printing my boarding pass etc. The packed lunch given on the last day (I had to leave before breakfast was served) was a letdown considering the excellent breakfast buffet served normally. Felt safe as a single female traveller here. Room was clean and tidy. Suggestion for improvement: Install a chain and a peephole at the door, you have no way of verifying who is outside before opening the door. A fridge and kettle in the room would also be good.
