Glengarry Castle Hotel

An amazing setting for afternoon tea. We booked late but enjoyed sandwiches, homemade scones with butter, cream and jam followed by a few tasty sweet treats. It was so quiet that I think I could hear the tea infusing!! Followed by a walk around the beautiful grounds enhanced by the incredible autumn colours adorning the privately owned hotel estate. A must if you’re in the area!!

We stopped at Glengarry Castle Hotel on a whim for a quick coffee break on our way to the Isle of Skye, and it turned into one of the most memorable stops of our trip. We were welcomed with such genuine friendliness and classic Scottish charm. The setting is stunning—beautiful castle, peaceful grounds, and breathtaking views all around. The coffee, scones, and gingerbread were delicious, and wandering the grounds made it feel like stepping back in time. A truly lovely experience!

What an absolute gem of a place! The friendly staff, unique and clean rooms, and beautiful grounds made it so enjoyable. Driving through the magical forest, walking the grounds (including by the castle ruins and loch), having a pre-dinner cocktail in the lounge, the delicious 3 course dinner, and the wonderful breakfast all were top notch experiences. We absolutely loved our stay, highly recommend!
