A place that feels in tune with its surroundings. The Glendalough Hotel offers more than a stay - it offers a pause. After long walks, misty mornings, and tired legs, coming back here felt grounding and easy. The setting is peaceful, the rooms comfortable and welcoming, and everything moves at a gentler pace. The reception team deserves a special mention - warm, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. The sort of welcome that makes you feel seen, not rushed. Perfectly placed for exploring Glendalough, yet calm enough to let the day settle once you return. A quiet base in a wild, beautiful place. I’d gladly come back 🤍

Staff are lovely. Very helpful. Food is lovely I really enjoyed it. I stayed in a single room and it was very small, which is okay, but I feel rooms themselves could do with a bit of updating. Having said that it was clean and served its purpose. Location is fantastic.

NEVER AGAIN! First of all at reception, the receptionist does not have very good English did not understand much of what we were saying….(he looked confused and on a different planet) Also, bedroom was freezing cold very outdated, Went for dinner in the evening when we were finished My partner went to order a drink at the bar aroubd 8:30 He was told that the bar would be closed shortly as the chef had made the decision.. I was absolutely shocked as we paid a lot for our stay. We had lunch at the bar we had dinner that evening. We spent a lot of money just to be told. We had to go. I’ve never in my life stayed in any hotel that the bar closed at 8:30pm. Also, the barman Was filling a paper cup with alcohol putting lid on and drinking as it was coffee. (Very unprofessional) Breakfast was Disgusting. Will never stay at this hotel again !!!
