in Holzgau Pension Knitel

Where this pension is what we dutch call 'vergane glorie' it makes up in service and the way frau Knitel services here guests. All very clean and a wonderful budget. Do not pass this pension, it is a hidden gem. It has the atmosphere and smell of a very old Hotel.

Such a lovely place to stay! Mrs. Knitel is a lovely woman, who helped us out with everything. The place is old and the kitchen could use a renovation, but the warm and welcoming atmosphere is absolutely worth it. We were able to cook our own meal here, which saves some money, and the breakfast was really good as well, served personally by mrs. Knitel. Would definitely come back!

We had a fantastic stay at this historic guesthouse (built in 1799!). Mrs. Knitel is incredibly hospitable and very friendly. Absolutely no request is too much for her. Highly recommended! The breakfast is extensive and delicious, and the rooms are well-maintained in a peaceful setting. We didn't find a single drawback; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
