My large family (14 guests) stayed at this bunkhouse for a long weekend. I can confidently say we would all be very happy to return. The only issue we ran into with the venue was that in the large upstairs bedroom a swarm of beetle’s appeared and filled the room! Not massive beetles, tiny ones that got everywhere! We are not sure if this is a reflection on the house or due to being in the middle of nowhere and by the coast if it was a season factor. However, that was the only issue. You’re a short walk from the beach, I would however say it isn’t not a beach to sunbathe on, rather one to play rounders (& ensure you keep your shoes on as there are brambles) the journey to the supermarket was not far, however it makes more sense to prepare before and that food and drinks with you. Communication & booking the venue is very good and straightforward. Would definitely return!

Beautiful house, as with all National Trust sites. The appointments are high quality and tasteful, and the welcome tea and biscuits is always nice. Two very small rolls of toilet roll felt a little stingy, and the listing said dog friendly but the site guide said to keep them downstairs, but no gate or or means of corralling the dogs was provided. I’d definitely come back, but bring your own TP and a baby gate for your dog.

Great but basic accommodation, in a fantastic location. The most ineffective wood burning stove that we've ever come across, and some of the windows leak. Other than that, it's very enjoyable!
