Camping Skye

We had stayed here in October on a flying visit to Skye. We were warmly greeted and then showed all the things to do and where everything is, and given a map of Skye. Really very informative, and the campsite itself is very impressive. So well thought out. We are experienced campers in both campervan and camping and all the tent pitches are completely flat, with a wee bothy to hang out it if the weather is bad. Other pitches were well spaced, and laid out. We had our little camper and really enjoyed our stay. Toilets are very central and good size. All were very clean. On our third night we didn't like the other campsite we were camping on so we moved back to this campsite, I imagine it will be super busy in the summer but well worth booking into. Top class.

Lovely park up for 1 night prior to getting the ferry to Harris. Very friendly receptionist greeted us on arrival and gave us some information about the site. It was very clean and nicely laid out. Dogs were welcome. Good amenities for a motorhome and lovely views. Showers and toilets in main block were exceptionally clean. Not as modern as some places but adequate. Good for families.

Our 2nd site on Skye, and wow, what a lovely site. So many 'pluses', and can't really say anything negative at all. Pitches are well planned out, spacious and with landscaping to all, with views. Hook up nice & close. Toilets, showers were plentiful and spotless. Brilliant WiFi. Staff on site friendly & very helpful, and the wee shop & coffee machine is a lovely bonus. 5 min walk into the centre of Broadford, and whilst small you can get all you need, with an Asda Express and a good sized Co-Op. Good dinner stops and if you'r into shellfish, the kiosk by the Claymore pub sells some of the best, freshest shellfish we've had anywhere in the World. Love the fact that the site is Community owned, and profits go back into the local Community. What a great idea. Loved it
