B&B Romantica Evasione - vicino lago di Vico, via Francigena, golf Le Querce

Got to start by saying, what absolutely fabulous hosts!! As we arrived at the property, after a hot day walking on the Via Francigena, we were invited to sit with them and enjoy a cold drink. Although there was a language barrier, Google Translate was embraced and we were able to have a full conversation. The accommodation is in a detached chalet set in the gardens of the property, which is in a tranquil residential district about 1.5 miles above the town. As well as the en-suite, there is also a small kitchenette area with a sink, fridge, kettle and coffee making machine. This can be closed off from the bedroom with a sliding door. Being quite a distance from the town, if you give them a telephone call, the hosts offer to collect you from the town by car. This would have been most appreciated after a long day’s walk (except the company, we organised the trip through, failed to pass this information on). We were, however, grateful, to accept their offer of a lift into town for our evening meal (and back again afterwards) and the next morning to continue our walk. Breakfast is normally served between 8:00 – 10:00 on the terrace by the main house. We were asked the night before what style of breakfast we normally enjoyed and that was what was provided the next morning. (e.g. granola, fruit, yoghurts, etc) Overall a lovely relaxing stay and we would definitely recommend it!
