Sunbiggin Farm coast to coast Camping & Bunkhouse.

For £20 this is a great place to stop for the night. The bedding is an optional extra; I slept on the mattress in my sleeping bag. There are many sockets to charge your electronics and two portable heaters to dry bits of gear and keep the room toasty warm. You can pay to use a washing machine and/or tumble dryer. There's a toilet but no shower at the moment. Thanks Andrew, I'm sure I'll see you a third time in the future, best of luck with the new build 👍

We tented 1 night here while backpacking the coast to coast. This place gave me a nostalgic feel of what hostels on the Appalachian Trail felt like. The owner, Andrew, was very nice. There are multiple areas to tent, they have a bunk room, and a common room to cook food, wash dishes, and even have laundry machines to clean clothes at additional cost. Couple of things to keep in mind. If you show up before 6pm you'll have to wait for Andrew to get home from work to pay. And secondly he is cash only. No credit cards or PayPal. So if you plan on staying here, make sure you bring enough to cover what the charge is.

Fantastic honesty box on stage 5, positioned perfectly at around the time walkers will pass at or around lunchtime. That's when we were there anyway! Tea and coffee available, as well as every cold drink you could imagine, plus chocolate bars, homemade flapjacks and cakes. Really nice story behind it too, which you will find out when you visit!
