Great camping place to stay when doing the Caledonian Way/ Great Glen Way. The camp site is reasonably big, some trees are around, the ground is very stony. There is a picnic table. The facilities are accessible with the Caledoinan Canal Key (highly recommended to get that!). There are toilets, a shower, washer and dryer and a big sink for doing the dishes. All rooms are heated and there's hot water! The rooms are even with the ground but not build wheelchair accessibly. We came by water and pulled our boats up the "steep" bank. You can also leave the boats next to the facilities hut, however then you'd have to carry all the gear over the lock. The official hiking trail does NOT run through there. The path leading in that direction is officially private property and fenced of (people do go through there though).

Beautiful spot for camping and being at one with nature. Facilities a short walk away

One of the most beautiful campsites I have ever been to. Best used as part of a walk of the whole of the Great Glen Way. If you get an access key to the toilets in Fort William or Inverness, the facilities available are high-quality, even including a tumble dryer! A short walk across the canal gates to get between the campsite and the toilets, which is both beautiful and a bit spooky at night. Beware that the number of spaces here is limited, and you are under trees and so have to content with some tree roots whilst pitching a tent.
