The location is great and price is reasonable, but this was my least favourite campsite of my recent Coast to Coast trek. The two showers per gender cost 50p for a few minutes and are incredibly cramped - hard to find somewhere dry to put your clothes, or even much space to get dressed without parading yourself to your fellow campers. Toilets are 'rustic' and too few for high season - I often had to queue. Likely a more enjoyable place to stay when it's not summer.

If you're looking for a campsite that's all about the simple pleasures of the outdoors, this is it. It’s a "back to basics" site, but in the best possible way—it's exactly what a great camping trip should be. The price is unbeatable, and the location is simply epic. What truly made my stay, though, was the owner, Richard. He was welcoming and accommodating, even when I showed up unannounced on a Friday evening. It's clear he puts a lot of care and effort into his site, running a no-nonsense operation that just works. Good to see him keeping an eye on folk too. Thanks for a great stay! I'll definitely be back.

Lovely site, views are out of this world, and that's saying a lot from a Scotswoman who loves the Highlands. Showers and toilets clean. Washing up area clean, rubbish area clean and tidy. No electric, but we knew that before going, we coped well in our wee folding caravan with rechargeable lights and our gas cooker. Unfortunately, we had biblical rain this weekend , but just made views even more spectacular. There is a no 78 bus goes close to campsite into keswick too. Quiet by 10.30pm, so if you want a drunken disco site, this is not for you. All in all a lovely weekend and we will be back. Didn't see owner much, but when we did, he was super friendly. Thank you for loaning out your beautiful fields
