Over priced and under whelmed although this hotel was clean and welcoming there were lots of little details that let it down. From a bar with no stock, paper cups in rooms, only one pillow each and a very small ensuite. Which would of been ok if the price has been more reasonable. My water shed is pemier inn. This place was a lot more expensive but did not have get the basics right

We stayed here on our SWCP walk. Fantastic all around. Great room with plenty of space, nice shower, great breakfast, and a lounge with a small but good selection of beers and wines for the evening. Great and very helpful owners as well, we enjoyed chatting with them and got good advice to finding the path in the morning. It is a bit out of town and uphill so for you southbound walkers have your meal and visit the shop before you head up or maybe think about a taxi if you walk back down for dinner. The benefit of the walk up to the hotel is an easy southbound start the next morning.

A great stop for our SW Coast Path walk. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable with welcoming owners and a delicious breakfast . If you’re on foot ask about the shortcut from the town so you can avoid walking on the main road. Though we only stayed one night it would be a lovely place for an extended stay.
