The Wellington

Just had a great 3 nights at the Wellington. Lots of character and a friendly welcome. Rooms are decorated in a tasteful way,but in keeping with heritage of the hotel. Had great breakfasts here, with lots of choice and excellent quality. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The third time we’ve stayed at a St. Austell brewery pub/hotel and would thoroughly recommend . Also good value too.

Boy, if you are looking for a good meal, awesome vibes, and outstanding service, this is the place to go. What an absolutely perfect spot for great food and a super friendly atmosphere. Taylor and his team nailed it. Went for a Sunday roast, and the food was absolutely perfect! Salute to the chef. Followed by an outstanding Flat White that was so good I had two, and the best rosé west of Exeter. If you are within 100 miles of The Wellington, make an effort to go. If you are on holiday and visiting Devon or Cornwall, do not miss this spot! Did I mention the horseradish sauce? Like liquid gold for the taste buds! Brilliant all round, without a doubt the best meal and service and vibes we have had in many many years. Thank you Taylor - see you guys again very soon 🔥

Amazing looking pub and building in a stunning location. Lovely food, if a little pricey for the steak and the lamb but tasted great. Good menu too. Wonderful and efficient service. Lovely welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Great to be able to bring our dog with us too - that's always a bonus for us and we loved the "Dog corner' with dog treats and water bowls - a really thoughtful idea and very appreciated! Travelled from Yorkshire for work. Will definitely return.
