Chosen it because I used to live just round the corner. Owners are nice, the place is clean and refurbished well. Rooms are a little on the small side, cold in winter even with heating and getting the water right in the shower is a pain.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Monterotondo look no further! A small bed and breakfast right in the middle of the old part of Monterotondo. The perfect place to get a taste of life in a old Italian town. The rooms are nice and cosy and extremely clean. The best part of the stay was having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the old town built around the narrow cobbled streets and the green hills sorrounding Monterotondo. The owner, Cinzia, was extremely friendly and helpful making us feel at home.

Upon arrival, the B&B's stairwell displayed high Booking.com ratings, raising expectations of a pleasant stay. However, the reality was quite different. Upon entering the room, everything initially seemed fine, but upon closer inspection, we noticed several problems. The walls were dirty, and some showed obvious signs of damp and water infiltration, with plaster peeling off in several places. The window didn't have adequate blackout curtains, which made it impossible to have complete darkness at night, with outside light disturbing our sleep. Another problem was the lack of multiple outlets: we had to choose between plugging in the bedside table or using other devices. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets smelled bad, and the pillow, yellowed and smelly, degraded our sleep. Furthermore, during the night, we could smell a foul odor, probably coming from the drains. The refrigerator, when plugged in, only served to turn on the light inside; otherwise, it didn't work. The only positive note: the B&B is located in a restricted traffic zone, so outside traffic is minimal and it's somewhat quiet. The breakfast, while not excellent, is average. In summary: A disappointing stay that doesn't live up to the online reviews.
