It used to be a wonderful holiday home back in the 1980s. Headmaster Smejkal from the Piarist school in Vienna always organized a four-week summer camp there. On Sundays, everyone would go to church together, with him leading the way on his accordion. Great hikes and endless fun challenges! A beautiful area, wonderful memories!

Formerly a summer camp run by the Piarist school in Vienna, or rather the Piarist parish of Maria Treu, it was only attended by boys back then. I spent several summers of my early youth there in the 1970s under the direction of school inspector Hans Smejkal, also known as "Herr Oberlehrer" (Head Teacher).

I was there as a child in the late 80s. Back then, it was stunningly beautiful and a paradise for playing. Forest, rocks, and a stream. Swimming pool in front of the house. A truly idyllic place.
