Anchor Barrow Campsite

We had a fantastic time at Anchor Barrow. Firstly, all of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and we immediately felt at home. The facilities were excellent for a campsite; hot & clean showers, hair dryers, fridges, freezers, table tennis, football pitches, secure dog field, plenty of plug sockets all included in the cost. They do breakfasts every morning for an additional but reasonable cost which were unreal & also have food themed nights on specific nights with accompanying music, we had gyros which were amazing! We highly recommend Anchor Barrow Campsite.

Best camping stay EVER! Extremely serviced: amongst food service, game rooms and organized entertainment, it feels rather a resort! Bathroom service is impeccable with incredible hot showers! 15 mins walking from the high street - the walking path is quite rural without any lights - so better avoid in the evening. Otherwise is a walk on the roadside - not many cars passing by anyway! Highly recommended and will definitely visit again!

We stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it! The whole place has a wonderful vibe - really chilled but still with amazing service from all the staff we came across. The fields are massive so there's plenty of space to camp up. The kids loved the massive sports field and the indoor barn - when it got a bit chilly/wet this was an absolute godsend to be able to hang out in. It gave us that bit of extra space you sometimes need so you're not all on top of each other in the van/tent! It also creates this lovely communal vibe for the site, which we really liked. The facilities are some of the best we've seen camping - the showers are hot and powerful, there are actual working hairdryers in the bathrooms, everything is cleaned regularly and we never had to wait. There's a big freezer for ice packs and even a fridge for storing your food if you need to. We were there for two of the food nights (Bao Buns and Burgers) and all the food we had was tasty and reasonably priced. And the Silent Disco on the Friday was a genius idea - so much fun!
