The Linden Hotel

Such a experience ! My wife and I deciced to drop in here for a beer and dinner. Everything seems fine for first sigh, but then it started... after a while waitress or something like that appear in entrance slowly climbing to our table.. we ordered beers with hope somebody else would bring them. Unfortunetly "waitress" came again after like 10 minutes with a beers, which she tries slowly put them on table, but she poured them a bit. We manage somehow order our meals, but that alcohol smell of her was really someting... we were little bit scared too as we were watching her climbing back to restaurant. When my wife went to toilet inside, she saw waitress sitting at table trying to feed herself and other young waitress helping her. We rather finished our meals in hurry and went for drinks into other restaurant. Meals was good, but you can find better and lower pricey.

Amazing place. Really good service and food. They really went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Really recommend the goulash

🚆🛏️🚿⛰️ We took the S1 train from Dresden and arrived at the hotel just before 9 PM. One helpful tip: the ferry across the river is included in your train fare, so just show your ticket (which costs just under €9 one way from Dresden). That made the journey both scenic and affordable. When we arrived (on a Tuesday), the hotel and bar were closing up, so I recommend checking in before 9 PM if you can. Since we stayed during the work week, the place was pretty quiet and we felt like we had it mostly to ourselves. Even though our room came with a shared bathroom, it felt extremely private for us as a couple. The water pressure was excellent and the water warm. The room itself was clean and cozy, with a nice TV, comfortable bed, and access to a shared fridge just outside the room, which came in handy for storing our hiking snacks. Wi-Fi speed was decent, not amazing, but enough to get by. Overall, great value — especially if you’re traveling midweek and open to a shared bathroom setup. Did you find this review helpful?
