Poldark Cottage

Beautiful place with plenty to offer just a few strides away from shops,pubs and bakers etc. Great base for travelling to other parts by either walking or a short drive away

Put simply the best UK holiday our family have ever had. We were blessed with a half term heatwave which made Mousehole the perfect place to relax and swim in the harbour, explore and swim in the recently restored rock pool (look it up), enjoy a beer from the pub and generally watch the world go by. We took a walk into Penzance and along to Lamorna Cove. We managed to get a decent parking space for the week and then used the bus when we wanted to go further afield. Loads of excellent cafes and restaurants and a couple of friendly pubs. The cottage itself was perfectly positioned within yards of the front, you could chat to people as you say out front with a coffee and the amenities inside were spot on. Washing machine, dishwasher, a couple of camp chairs to borrow plus loads of stuff useful for the beach. Rather than shelter from the rain, we were close enough to shelter from the sun and get a fresh brew along with a game or 10 on the Xbox 360 in the net loft. Plus when you went to the harbour beach it wasn’t a chore to take all of your kit to set up for the day, you literally couldn’t park any closer than you can walk from the cottage. The beds and the showers are decent and the price is very reasonable for the location. The hosts were accommodating and helpful with suggestions on things to see and places to go. Pretty much the perfect uk holiday. Thank-you
