Our family had an excellent stay at the Pontresina Youth Hostel, which proved to be the perfect midpoint between our Bernina Express trip from Tirano and our Glacier Express departure from St. Moritz the following day. The location is unbeatable for rail travelers, situated literally just a few feet from the railway station, which made arriving with luggage incredibly easy. We booked a spacious and comfortable family room via the official app, and we were impressed by the cleanliness of the common bathrooms and the overall ease of the process. The receptionist offered a very warm and professional welcome, and the buffet-style breakfast and dinner spreads were both varied and high-quality. The only downside to our stay was the rude behavior of a male server at the buffet counter, but otherwise, the hospitality and convenience made this an ideal choice for a family mountain transit.

Great hostel. Comfortable bed. Just outside from the train station close to coop and near by restaurants. Best is also good and dinner needs to be pre booked.
