We truly had a lovely 3 nights at the Hotel Malouinière Le Valmarin in St Malo, France. Visiting France it is always a treat to spend a few nights in such an old and historic building. It was built in 1793 and you can feel the history in every step you take. The room was nice and spacious and we appreciated the fact that our Labrador could be with us in the hotel. It is situated only 8 minutes to the old town and parking is private, right behind the hotel in their beautiful garden. The service was excellent and I think they deserve to be a 4-star hotel. We also enjoyed two lovely breakfasts with baguettes and croissants, cheeses, yoghurt and jams. Delicious! Google, am I allowed to give this hotel a 6-star rating? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a beautiful hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, breakfast was wonderful and the room beautiful. You can feel that an incredible amount of care goes into keeping this hotel running; you’ll feel very welcome. The grounds and building are perfectly maintained. It feels like a dive into hospitality the way it should be. Had a beautiful evening walk along the different ports, just a stone’s throw from the hotel. In spite of being very centrally located it was incredibly quiet. I would certainly recommend staying - and will absolutely return.

This hotel is very convenient for the St Malo ferry as it is less than a 10 minute drive away. It is in a quiet location, rooms are huge and very comfortable with everything you would need. The garden is also very peaceful and calming to sit in. The town and harbour are only a few minutes walk away too. The house has a lot of history, that is well documented. It is privately owned and staff are very helpful and friendly.
