ibis Basel Bahnhof

Very basic hotel with very basic rooms. Bed topper kept slipping off the bed and no safe/fridge/kettle etc. Staff were lovely and helpful though and lent me a kettle to use. Quite close to basel station which was perfect as it was a base to travel to other places. Tram stops right outside which takes you into basel old town etc.

I’m a frequent guest and it offers excellent value for money. The rooms are comfortable, but what really stands out is the front desk team. The staff are exceptional - extremely friendly, welcoming, and always accommodating with requests.

Was based at this hotel for approx 1.5 weeks with a group for work. While the rooms aren’t the biggest, they’re very clean and well laid out. Overriding comment is that the staff are exceptional; they went out of their way to help with early check ins/late check outs, the storing of baggage and general assistance for a large group of travellers.
