Stayed here while attending a nearby wedding. The location is excellent for exploring Assisi, especially for a budget-friendly option. The room was quite small and a bit cramped with limited lighting. Breakfast was basic, nothing special. Oddly, no irons available due to health and safety, which felt a bit unclear. On the plus side, free parking is available about a 10 min walk away. Decent for a short stay if you’re not expecting too much!

Absolute Nightmare – Avoid! Tiny, windowless “room” (#14) that felt more like a storage closet. Not part of the hotel, but right next to the backdoor entrance to the hotel (slamming door continuously) and worse; right next to the alley to the main castle – thousands of tourists passing just half a meter from your bed all day long. Incredibly noisy, impossible to relax let alone sleep. Parking is complicated. Completely unsuitable as accommodation. As there was a concert at the castle the nuisance and disturbance was overwhelming. A dodgy other room was offered in another hotel, so checking out was the only option for us . We were promised a refund, but management decided differently and rudely never even replied back to us. Total distressing and unpleasant experience. Don’t waste your money or time here.

This is a wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. The rooms are quirky; ours was huge with three double beds but it didn’t feel crowded. Good bathroom with forest shower (takes a while to warm up). Linens excellent. Breakfast plentiful. The real asset of this hotel is its very close proximity to the Il Duomo, that’s the cathedral, which is right outside the hotel. Huge choose of restaurants, ice cream parlours, etc all within a few minutes walk.
