Auberge de la Gare - Dortoir & Ostello in Valle d'Aosta

Excellent location! It was easy to walk to explore the medieval city of Bard, but also far enough away from the expensive holiday centers of Aosta and Cervina to be affordable. The rooms were comfortable and the large common room and kitchen were perfect for hanging out with friends. I did not give a "star" rating for service because there was no one on staff in the hostel the entire three day visit. This was not a problem for us, but could be if you needed immediate assistance.

The hostel is very clean, both in the rooms and in the common areas. The location is excellent for visiting some of the local castles, hiking, and reaching Aosta in about 30 minutes without the highway. The hosts are very courteous and pay particular attention to each guest and their individual needs. They were very friendly and available to me on the phone, which I really appreciated.
