Scandic Lerkendal

Top breakfast buffet and a great view on the higher levels. With many guests staying at the same time it can happen you need to wait a little longer for one of the four elevators to pick you up. Climbing all the stairs could be sweat-inducing... ;-)

This was the last time I use Scandic Lerkendal. One big problem is the elevators, you have to wait some time until you get one. And the cleaners use the same elevators and dont have a own staff elevator. Another issue is that there is no air condition, that makes it hot inside the rooms in the summer. I also asked for cleaning in the room after 3 nights but no one came. I had to ask several times until they did it. Parking is also crazy expensive. And now I'm missing 3 nights of bonus points they haven't given me. I asked them to fix it but only say they can't give it to me afterwards. Edit: they fixed the bonus points finally. The staff is very good and friendly , but I think the management could solve some of the issues.

Rude and disrespectful woman on the front desk was condescending and dismissive to my wife who was checking in without me. I went to the hotel ahead of time to ensure this was ok, I was assured it would be by a freindly staff member. A pleasant experience ruined by an ignorant staff member upon check in literally throwing keys on the desk and demanding a card from my wife who was under no obligation to have one with her. Not impressed. *Update. The hallways are dirty and not vaccumed, the coffee machine is free in the lobby but does not work, there is no parking, no breakfast as standard, no room cleaning and the wifi is painfully slow. Sound proofing between rooms is terrible, so it's noisy. Wierdly there is a parking level on the elevator but clearly not for guests. No idea how the Kommune allowed a hotel like this to be built without a parking garage under usable by guests. The room is fine but the sink doesn't drain properly and you have to hang your towels over the toilet.... Oh and my bedding has damage and holes in it. The blackout curtains are excellent.
