Treen Farm offers the most wonderful escape from day to day life, set in a tiny hamlet with just a pub, café and campsite. Just 3 miles from Lands End and a 10-15 minute walk through fields to the SouthWest coast path, staying in “The Shippen” on Treen Farm was just perfect. The Shippen has been sympathetically converted into a well appointed, comfortable dwelling with lovely big beds and modern bathrooms that have heated towel rails (essential for drying beach gear on a “Mizzly” day) and underfloor heating. A large kitchen/dining/living space with good wi-fi and recliner chairs, means you can relax at the end of a busy day exploring. Christopher & Paula are excellent hosts, nothing is too much trouble and local knowledge beats any “rough guide”, fresh eggs and milk are on tap (recommend trying the unpasteurised) and sometimes homemade ice cream is available too. We were fortunate enough to meet recently born calves and watch the lovely Jersey cows being milked, which was an enriching experience. Be sure to visit the Logan Rock pub and Farm & Fort café, both a minutes walk from the farm and take the walk down to the Logan Rock and onto Pedn (“Pednee”) Vounder & Porthcurno. Thank you Paula & Christopher for a memorable Cornish holiday.

I have no idea about the accommodation as I stayed elsewhere but the fresh milk here is amazing, super gold top full of cream! There's a fridge and honesty box for payment where you can take what you want and deposit cash (make sure you have the right change). I met the farmer too who's a really nice and helpful! Please return the glass bottles into the crate near the fridge. My only regret is not having enough change and space to buy more! There's a price list in the photos, £2.75 for the 2l bottle, etc

Paula was wonderful and gave us a warm welcome. The cottage is in a charming village near the Atlantic Ocean and close to the Minack Theatre. The house was clean and fully equipped. The bed was a bit small for us, but it was comfortable with a great mattress. On our first day, it was hot, and there was a slight damp smell, but it went away when the weather cooled down. The price is affordable, and we could park our car in the yard, which was very convenient. Also, you can drink the freshest milk here. Paula left us a bottle of milk and local eggs in the fridge, and she'll do the same for you if you visit.
