The Best of Exmoor

We loved staying at West Lynch farm. It was cosy and comfortable, and lovely to see the animals around during the day. It was a great location for exploring the lovely villages and Exmoor. So close to Porlock and Minehead as well. Tina & Sean were very welcoming and we even had fresh eggs from the hens. We would highly recommend this stay.

Fabulous! We have enjoyed all our Best of Exmoor experiences over the past 10 years but this has to be one of the best. We immediately felt that we were staying in a property whose owners wanted you to have an enjoyable time. It has been furnished to a high standard, and the kitchen has every utensil and cooking pan that you could want. The bedrooms and the sitting room were equally well thought out and furnished. The ensuite bathroom facilities were super. Wingate farm is situated just off the A39 so easy to get to most things. The property is a minute's drive from the main road so ideal when returning home on dark and rainy nights. The parking spaces are right next to the cottage gate which made it easy to carry bags, and dog, to and from the car. Being lower than the main road, you can neither see nor hear traffic; it was very quiet and peaceful. And yes, you can see the sea from the front garden. Christina and Rich were such welcome hosts. We didn't see them for most of the week but they kept in touch by WhatsApp to ensure that we were okay and made a point of coming to say goodbye before we left. Whilst the property has three bedrooms, we found it ideal for just the two of us plus WestIe. We most definitely will make Wingate Farm our go-to holiday stay for Exmoor in the future.

Western cottage is in the perfect location for a peaceful getaway! We stayed there with our 2 young children and my parents. The cottage had everything we needed and more, being right on the beach was just beautiful! Kids enjoyed paddle boarding in the harbour and crabbing most days. The pub was just a stones throw away (a bit too convenient!) along with a couple of cafes and a few little souvenir shops. We would love to return for another stay!
