Albergue Palhuço

One of the best hostels to stay at during your walk to Santiago! It’s small, but since not many people usually stay here, your chances of finding a bed are very high! It’s an old building that was recently renovated, very clean and in great condition. They have everything you need: good bathrooms, nice showers, comfortable beds, a kitchen with all the essentials for cooking, and even a washing machine available for free! The staff were friendly!

Honestly underrated. If you’re not down for the old school no-frills type of albergues like the one you’ll find in São Pedro de Rates, this is what you’re looking for. For 10 euros, they have modern facilities (only opened in 2022), free washer and dryer!!!!, and a really good shower. The view is also phenomenal, overlooking a vineyard you can see through the upstairs window. Thank God I decided to push a bit further today and stay here.

It was the best Albergue that I had on my way. Clean, beautiful, washing and drying machine, nice territory. Thank you so much for such a nice house!
