The Falmouth Hotel

Booked a Superior Sea View room here only to be called up less than 5 hours before check-in to say that this room type had been overbooked and we couldn't be accommodated, despite us paying in full and booking 2 weeks prior. Incredible how this is even allowed to happen these days with everything computerised etc. Our only option was to be sent off to a different hotel (in a completely different part of the town with different facilities to this one) with no form of compensation/partial refund or even a guarantee of an equivalent room type. It was either that or cancel completely and receive a full refund. Took the latter, didn't bother going down at all (cancelled all of our other plans/travel), and won't be staying here any time soon either!

The receptionist were amazing from start to finish which really makes a good feeling. We were late arriving due to traveling from quite far and we had a meal in the bar and it was so delicious . So delicious , I had it again the next day. The breakfast was fresh and perfect. There was a tall waiter who was really lovely and charming. The rooms really needed updating our carpet was quite dirty. And some of the carpets in the hall way were beyond their best. The room was very big, lots of room, lots of space, very warm. Which is perfect. We had a beautiful sea view. I would most defiantly stay here again.

First experience of Sunday Lunch As regular guests of The Greenbank we thought we would try this new addition to the same group. We enjoyed their Sunday lunch yesterday and it was a very good experience. Great service from the team and we will certainly return. Well worth trying.
