I totally recommend this house! It is well restored in an authentic way, you can feel how is it to live in a 100 years old house with all modern facilities (you have bathroom, kitchen with everything you need, perfectly working WiFi). Gabriela, the housekeeper cooks great, she can delight you with Transylvanian dishes everyday, cooked in a traditional manner with locally grown ingredients. She can provide you local products, like vegetables, home made bread, milk, various jams, anything that grows on the countryside:). You have a big courtyard only for yourself, outside you have the village goose in front of the gateway, near the little river that flows along the street. The fortified church in Malmkrog is well preserved and just nearby there is the Apafi manor, recently renovated. We even experienced a jazz concert at the manor, which was a great surprise to have in such a remote village. We would definitely go back to this house and village next time we cross Transylvania!

Isolated village with good road towards it, with gorgeous church and restored mannor

We, a family with two children, were traveling the Via Transilvanica and stayed here overnight. One of the most wonderful experiences of the entire journey was staying in this traditional and authentically renovated Transylvanian Saxon farmhouse. The entire place and the atmosphere are enchanting! In this little village, and especially on the farm, you feel like you've stepped back in time. Special thanks and greetings to "Ruthi," who prepared everything and gave us such a warm welcome. Our friendship with her was the icing on the cake! Thank you!
