Txanka Erreka is a family-run hotel, and you can feel it the moment you arrive. Here, the customer experience truly comes first – guests are made to feel welcome, valued, and genuinely cared for. The hosts are warm, attentive, and excellent at what they do – true professionals who take pride in making their guests happy. Each room is individually decorated, with great attention to detail and a personal touch that gives the place real character. The breakfast is beautifully presented, and any special requests are handled quickly and with a smile. A special highlight is the breakfast room, available around the clock – you can help yourself to sparkling wine, sangria, or cider, along with cookies, snacks, and chorizo. It’s a thoughtful touch that perfectly reflects the hotel’s spirit of hospitality. A small downside: the rooms face the street, and while it’s quiet at night, it’s best to keep the windows closed. Upon departure, we even received a small farewell gift – a lovely gesture that captures the hotel’s warmth and personal touch. All in all, Txanka Erreka is a hotel with heart, where hospitality and guest experience truly come first. We’ll remember it fondly and highly recommend it to others.

Run by the KINDEST, most helpful people. My young daughter and I had a wonderful stay for two nights. They were so nice to her and had all kinds of small surprises. The only challenge was getting around without a car. There are few taxis in Orio and it's a bit of a (beautiful) walk into town, across a busy road, to get the bus anywhere. I would recommend this hotel is best if you have a car with you. That being said, the staff helped us figure out how to get everywhere we wanted to go.

Quiet unexpected positive experience. We arrived there, driving from France to Portugal, and we needed a one night stay. Very welcoming lady, probably the owner with an amazing attention to details. In the morning, we had a Chef preparing breakfast for us. You can feel there’s a lot of love in everything they do.
