Am Bothan Bunkhouse

Absolutely absolutely fantastic. After visiting seven different YH in Scotland this one was a welcome relief. Vibrant colours ,spacious rooms and a rustic look. Did not get to meet the owner, left the money just like the others did in the wooden bowl at the wall stocked kitchen entrance. note ...local bus transport is shut on Sunday.

As soon as I walked into the bunkhouse I thought what a bunkhouse I couldn't ask for better and it's well situated a short distance from Leverburgh pier and just handy for visitors who visit the area and close to the ferry service. I liked in specific the shower and I was just in my glorious getting a shower in a splendid shower room. I hope I can visit it again next year as it's a must that I can visit Harris again next year.

Arrived late and owner was very helpful, bunk house also very clean and tidy, however bunk house was very basic with no frills. Take your own tea coffee etc. Slept well 1st night with comfy bed but on second night large group of people going to st. Kilda at 6am. Lots of shouting and door banging.
