Thon Hotel Trondheim

Rooms are super shabby, I was surprised given how expensive it is. The Comfort Inn was just slightly more expensive and way nicer. Location is central but a bit of a hike from the train station if you have a roller suitcase. Rooms are overly warm. Was only here for one night and didn’t have to stay long but also would not have wanted to stay longer in here.

Great value with student discount. Small, but neat and functional room. Nice breakfast buffet where excellent capsule machine coffee is one of the coffee options.

While 30C in the city the rooms are insane hot and reception had just few tiny fans. Rooms with very old design, tiny bathrooms, not recommending at all. On the top fridge didn't work so the food I left there was thrown to garbage in the morning. After visiting many hotels from this chain I'm really surprised by the standard of this hotel which is way lower than others provided. Breakfast was nice. Thank you for advice about staying in different hotel while next time in Trondheim, this I knew straight away while vising.
