Fantastic spot to go while hiking. You can put up your tent on a field beside the lighthouse, but I recommend to sleep at least one night inside. It's just simple bunkbeds, but you can spend the evening in the lovely sitting room with amazing views. You can also use the kitchen and have a warm shower. You'll probably see foxes passing by outside while lounging in the warmth of the house. You need to bring your own food, but the hosts bring so much kind hospitality, which is probably half of the experience. So, if you're weary after all these these of hiking, award yourself with a stay at this place.

The lighthouse is now a tourist hut owned by Ferðafélag Íslands (Icelandic tourist accociation). The hut is in operation in july and august. You can access it by boat, both from Norðurfjörður and from Ísafjörður.
