Granny House Holiday Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house, situated approximately two miles from Gargrave and a 10 minute drive from Skipton. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, and have addressed everything you could imagine for a comforting stay. The property has been lovingly restored by the owners, and the house's history and story leading to its ultimate restoration is very interesting. It's equipped and spacious enough for up to 6 people, with a large kitchen which is as well appointed as any we've ever encountered. Despite it being February the house was always warm, with the stove packing a real punch. The place was immaculately clean and nothing in it was tired or worn, apart from the occupants! The views all round are wonderful, and it affords excellent walking right from the doorstep, including easy access to the Pennine Way. If you're looking for a remote retreat which is comfortable and spacious, then we highly recommend Granny House.

This getaway exceeded our expectations, such a beautiful peaceful place where the loudest sound is the chirp of the birds. You can hear yourself think here, beautiful surroundings, comfortable beds and sofas. Friendly, helpful owners. Highly recommended. (Family of five)

We had a wonderful 4 night break at this beautiful cottage in the most peaceful location. Walks from the door, bird feeders placed for easy viewing, dvd library and games, a piano and guitar and stunning views. Everything we could possibly need.
