This place is the best!! The staff are so friendly and welcoming and it’s so cool meeting people from all over the world! People are usually hanging out at the hostel throughout the day and evening so don’t expect a silent house; this is a perfect place for those who like to be social and meet people. The villa is so neat and as far as hostels go it’s pretty clean!! Bathrooms and floors are deep cleaned every day and towels are changed daily and as needed. The surf instructors are fantastic and there are many beaches in the surrounding area that are so beautiful to check out. There’s an awesome park and dog beach just across the road from the hostel that is so beautiful, especially at sunset. I could not recommend staying here more if you like surfing, meeting people, and having an adventure!

Just came back from staying here for a week. It was so much fun with everyone, I surfed 3 times and had classes. Must say that the surf instructors are always helping very good. And I want to give an extra big thanks to GioGio for helping me out with surfing. 🌊🌊🤙🇪🇸😁 Would recommend everyone to go to this hostel when visiting Gijón! Gracias

I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for proper surf instruction or a place to rest. I could barely sleep because the staff partied loudly every night, and even after asking to be moved, I was still kept awake by outdoor speakers blasting music until after 1am - even when no one was outside. It’s fine if it’s a party hostel, but they should be honest about that so people who just want to rest for surfing can make an informed choice. The manager didn't even apologize. To make things worse, someone entered my room twice during the night while I was sleeping alone, which was genuinely frightening. The surf lessons were also very poor: no real teaching or safety guidance, I doubt the instructors were certified. The suits were old, thin and didn't have small sizes, and the boards of cheap quality, leaving us freezing in the water and barely able to surf. You also had to walk for 20min from the beach freezing before even taking a shower. A truly uncomfortable and unprofessional stay.
