Located at the heart of the lake. Really perfect place. Great food to warm myself in that very cold weather. Ordered the potato pancake with mash room sause and vegetable soup. Delicious in that cold weather. I did not stay at the hotel, just visited the restaurant.

Located right above the Morskie Oko lake, this mountain shelter is a perfect spot to take a break after hiking the trail. You can buy souvenirs here, including pressed coins, and there’s a small shop with snacks as well as a kitchen serving hot meals and drinks. The food is tasty and based on traditional Polish cuisine, though you can definitely find better restaurants elsewhere. Prices are fairly high, and the toilets are paid. Payment is cash only, but there is an ATM available on-site. The view from the windows overlooking the lake and surrounding peaks is truly beautiful, making the stop worthwhile.
