Wonderful B&B in Dolceacqua, a historic village. The host, Rossana, is fantastic, and the bedrooms and suites have many amenities. Comfortable... great value for money.

We just returned from a short stay at the B&B Dei Doria in Dolceacqua. It was our second stay at this B&B, and we had a wonderful, wonderful time. The room was small but comfortable and spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and equipped with all amenities, with a splendid terrace overlooking the village and Dolceacqua Castle. The view was truly enchanting and priceless. The owner, very helpful, kind, friendly, and attentive, gave us a warm and attentive welcome. I can highly recommend the B&B dei Doria.

That was the worst experience we've had on our many trips! The problem is that we always travel by car and need parking nearby or inside the property. Booking.com had posted the wrong information, and it's important to know. We didn't stay there, even though we arrived around 5:00 PM and I met and spoke with Ms. Rosanna, the owner. ATTENTION! SHE'S LYING WHEN SHE SAYS WE DID NOT SHOW. We arrived, and it was me who asked her to cancel our reservation. I'll explain below: This property's Booking.com profile stated "Parking" and "Free Parking" in the description. And it's a complete scam! We're a couple who almost always travel by car, and I always look for accommodations with parking (free parking, if possible). On April 8th, in Carcassonne, already on a trip from Spain to Italy, I was looking for a place to stay for one night in Dolceaqua, a place recommended by a friend. Knowing it's a medieval village, I was looking for an option with parking, which is essential for us since we have a lot of luggage. I used the "parking" search filter and this accommodation came up with a reasonable price and very good reviews. In the description, among other things like free Wi-Fi, balcony, etc., it says "parking" and "free parking." You can book it by paying online immediately and it's a non-refundable option. I pay for it. I receive a two-page reservation confirmation, and obviously I don't read it to the end, where there are conditions I don't care about, such as children and pets. Upon arrival, we find ourselves in an alley where you can't enter with a car, let alone park. The owner, who speaks Spanish quite well, calls me and asks if we're there yet. I walk up to the door and explain to the owner that we can't stay there because it's impossible to carry our luggage from so far away. The woman explains that there is free parking about 200 meters away (!), but it turns out it belongs to the city council and has nothing to do with her accommodation. However, it was listed in the description as if it were part of her services. I show her this description and ask to cancel my reservation and return my money. She tells me she'll call Booking.com and then texts me that it's my fault I didn't read the confirmation all the way to the end. It's neither possible nor fair to include incorrect information in the description and sell the accommodation this way, but to only include the fact that you can walk there and can't even get close by car—already paying and non-refundable at the end of the reservation confirmation. My husband was almost beaten for waiting for me with the car, where in fact, you couldn't even stand. The same day, after 10:00 p.m., I noticed that the accommodation description had already changed, and it no longer mentioned "parking." Okay, that's correct now. I beg for my money back for not being able to enjoy my stay at Dolceaqua due to the incorrect information on Booking.com. I'm giving this extremely negative review because of the LIAR that is the OWNER. After traveling more than 500 km from Carcassonne (also booked on Booking.com), we had to change our travel plans, look for accommodation elsewhere, now without Booking.com, and continue staying in Florence, also without Booking.com. I insist that I deny paying for the accommodation advertised until the evening of April 10th with the false description.
