Podere Le Grotte

Just back from Podere and it was wonderful. Had the top floor apartment with two bedrooms and two baths. My daughter had her own space which she loved Very clean. The views of San Gimignano and the grape and olive trees amazing. So peaceful and quiet. A 10 minute drive to San Gimignano and about an hour to Florence, Pisa or Chianti wine region. Fabio(owner) is wonderful and engaging. He really takes pride in the place. Took me on a tour of the property. He has water, wine, soda etc available at cost downstairs. Washer access for a small fee per load and an inviting pool. Little cold for us Floridians as weather was still cool. Apartment has equipped kitchen but we ate out for most of time. Some notes. Go to San Gimignano before 10am or after 5 as parking lots can be difficult with tourist during the day, especially weekends. Buy groceries on way in at one of the towns as nothing real close. Best is just to sit out on the benches and gaze. Just an amazing place.

It was absolutely fantastic. Our host was very friendly, he was already waiting in front of the building. The apartment was way nicer than expected. The view was just breath taking. Everything was very clean. We even had the opportunity to buy there some water, bier, wine in case we needed and the price Wass very reasonable. I can definitely recommend this amazing accommodation to everybody.

Perfect place to stay! View is amazing, nice pool, private terrace with BBQ place. Quite and relaxed. The house is clean, big and has all you want. Fabio is an excellent host! Would come again
