New Dungeon Ghyll

A wonderful stay at this hotel. Spacious room had everything we'd asked for, quiet with a bath for a post walking soak plus a spectacular view of the valley. Francesca and her team looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed our evening meals in the dining room and walkers bar. Good to see locals enjoying the beer too. The food was fresh, homemade and very tasty. We'd love to return

Me and a friend hiked over from Wasdale on Sunday 22nd. We were greeted by friendly faces and smiles on arrival and then throughout our one night stay, the staff were all really helpful and welcoming. Room was amazing, clean and shower was powerful, after a long hike it was nice to refresh before dinner. I seem to try the Steak and Ale pie wherever I go, and I can say hands down one of the greatest pies I’ve eaten. The vibe here is so relaxed, we will definitely be back in future!! The views are incredible!!

A Truly Stunning Location,A Fantastic Hotel ideal for walkers,Set amongst the Langdale fells,The Staff were great! Welcoming and Attentive! Room was standard but that’s all I needed,The view out of my window made up for it as it was truly stunning! Food was locally sourced cooked fresh,breakfast was first class and the service from Diane was spot on!! Booked this last minute I’ve found an hidden Gem will definitely be booking again! There’s plenty of space to eat either in the Lounge area but I preferred the Walkers bar which was just through an opening in the bar area! More relaxed plus a cracking Log burner! Other walkers very pleasant and chatty as I was on my own! Overall a fantastic 3 nights away!
