Meadowside B&B

Although it's almost been a year ago since I stayed here, I still want to write a review. I stayed at Meadowside B&B the night before I went to the Wicklow Way. I was warmly welcomed by Phil, a lovely lady, the B&B host. There was a miscommunication in my reservation date, which was my own fault, but Phil still kept a room open for me. The room was clean, big, had an shower and toilet and stuff to make my own tea....so everything you need ;) After settling in it was time for me to take a meal and she recommended a restaurant nearby. It was a good advice and I enjoyed my meal over there. Next morning, after a good home made Irish breakfast it was time for me to head to Clonegal. Since I was by foot, Phill called a taxi for me. If I go to the Wicklow Mountains again, I surely will be staying at this B&B again....highly recommanded!

Ms. Phil was a phenomenal hostess! She was very accommodating, informative and helpful. We arrived later than planned, but she had the unfailing welcome of a true Irish woman! The home was not only clean, but absolutely GORGEOUS! Our room even had a chandelier! There was water and a welcome tray awaiting us! The room was everything we needed and more! My daughter and I were on a trip celebrating 4 years in remission from cancer and were a bit worried because we thought we were staying closer to Kilkenny. However, after meeting Phil, having dinner at a local pub that was within walking distance and had a wonderful stream and very good food (that she recommended to us), PLUS, strolling through this quaint little town that we fell in love with, we couldn't have been happier to have gone further off the beaten path than we had thought!! On top of all of that, the food was fantastic! I'd never eaten porridge, and I did several times after this, but hers was and to this day, is still the best I've ever put in my mouth! Plus she made us a full Irish breakfast. It was WONDERFUL! Overall, one of my favorite places I stayed in Ireland. I will definitely stay with her again on my next trip and highly recommend that you stay at Meadowside!! Thank you, Ms. Phil!! From Missy & Crystal in USA

Fabulous service from Phil who was so accommodating with our late night arrival and early morning departure. Beautiful and clean house, garden and room as well as in an accessible location and lots of space to park. Phil was so lovely and welcoming and if we are in the area again we will definitely book again!
