We just finished a week of ski vacation at Club Med val d’Isère together with our two teenage kids. We took a suite as parents and a room for the kids for the week. The positives: The club is nicely located with a direct access to the slopes. The buffet was good overall with a variety of options and a good quality of produce. The stuff were friendly and helpful. The negatives: Unjustified rate of the suite: we felt we got ripped off with the rate of the suite which was twice the rate of the room while the sizes of both were the same. We had a very bad view from our suite combined with un-shoveled snow that blocked completely the view for the whole week despite our request to the hotel to remove it. It felt very claustrophobic. The Spa was expensive and mediocre. Spa personnel lacked experience on how to perform a proper massage (much needed during a ski vacation) it honestly felt like someone just caressing and moving his hands around your body; with zero skills. Ski classes (you pay for 3 hours and you get 2hours) we paid for 3 hours of ski courses per day and we ended having only 2 hours out of 3 being on training and 1 hour spend on going up and down the tele-cabins and bus (knowing that the rate per hour was 145€). So 145€ to go from and to the hotel which of course we’re all totally capable of doing alone. When we said that it was unreasonable to have one third of the classes used in the commute (vs instruction), we had no convincing answer expect that this is the rule… Overall: Club Med Val d’Iser is considered a 5 tridents Exclusive Collection, but in reality it is very far from being an “exclusive experience”. We find it Overrated & Overpriced. Never again.

I must have been over 15 times in club med vacations, mostly ski. This was by far the best ski vacation we ever had, and certainly the best club med I ever stayed at. I went with my two kids, 16 and 10 year old. The club is very welcoming, the facility well maintained and small enough to provide a cozy feeling. The staff is constantly smiling and service driven. Every request / question is greeted with a smile. We asked for minibar refills, towels and bathrobes for the room and were got immediate response. The kids had spa treatments and really enjoyed. I did Yoga with Juliette, which was excellent. The shop staff were helpful. The reception staff (especially Neomi) were very helpful. The two highlights are the restaurants and the ski school: At the restaurants, food is excellent, especially Les Millésimes where we enjoyed late lunch returning from ski at 3PM and an excellent dinner with a fantastic waitress. The ski school is absolutely incredible - classes are at a good size, and the our ski instructors: Elsa (kids reg group), Laurent, Malo and especially Gaspar were highly professional and turned a good vacation into an unforgettable one. Kudus to Richard the director of the ski school. We will return!! For sure:)

I been to quite a number of club med . Service : This club med has leak the cheerful ,friendly and helpfulness. There is no fun in the night shows at all. Food : Food selection .Just need a better food warmer . Every food taste a little cold. As this resort its the most expensive club med I been . I was hopping for better quality steak. The steak they gave was flank 🙄 Rooms : are very clean and comfortable. Ski : Ski Instructor needs to teach more technical stuff instead of just asking you follow .
