Hotel Sliezsky Dom

The hotel is beautiful but...It is truly disappointing that tourists who travel from as far away as Mexico, with the excitement of visiting such a famous and highly recommended place like the High Tatras, end up having such an uncomfortable and disappointing experience in the hotel restaurant. We were staying in an expensive hotel, in a mountain area that Slovakia is clearly very proud of, and we expected an experience that matched both the location and the price. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Our table was ignored for a long time. We watched other guests arrive, be seated, receive menus, be served food, finish their meals, and leave — while our table remained unattended the entire time. It was impossible not to notice that every other table was being served except ours. The staff was not friendly, and the situation became very uncomfortable. It did not feel like a simple oversight, but rather a repeated and obvious neglect. This is not an experience I would ever want to go through again. This message is directed to the restaurant management: please provide better training to your staff to prevent situations like this from happening. It is a real shame, because the place itself is beautiful, but it is not cheap — especially for guests traveling from the other side of the world expecting a pleasant and memorable experience. Honestly, we would not choose to return, nor would we recommend this place to other foreign visitors. Slovak guests were clearly attended to, and the difference in treatment was impossible to ignore. If the issue was a language barrier, I cannot say for sure, but it looks very bad when only one table is ignored while all others receive normal service. What should have been a beautiful experience in the High Tatras turned into an uncomfortable and disappointing moment. I don't have any complaints about the hotel but the restaurant

The most beautiful hotel ever! Perfect place Perfect view to the mountain! Room was the best ever I had . CLEAN!! I will be back!

Well well well. Maybe another stay, I think so. This place was amazing, from the very first moment we arrived our wellness was first priority. After our complimentary jacuzzi experience, the kind bar manager kindly gave some beers to the fridge for us and we enjoyed a lovely buffet dinner. In the morning our experience was made even better. We left some money in the room and the hotel staff kindly washed it for us before handing it back and refusing a tip. Highly reccomend
