If all you need is a clean, cosy bed for the night/s of your stay and a hearty breakfast then Jan is your lady. Warm friendly welcome and a lovely setting overlooking Melbost and not too far from town (2miles).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jan was a perfect host and provided the best Scottish breakfast ever! Jan was so friendly and helpful in providing information about Stornoway and directed us to places of interest. The chalet was very comfortable and had everything we needed our stay. We would highly recommend The Fisherman’s Rest. Well done Jan look forward to seeing you again.

We had a wonderful stay- the cottage is cute and cosy, wonderfully decorated and has everything you need, including super comfortable beds! Jan is the most wonderful hostess - being very communicative and cooking up lovely breakfast at whatever time suits you; going the extra mile to make sure her guests have the best stay. While we were there I had an urgent work call out and Jan was very flexible with check out and providing additional supplies for the day ahead- which we were very grateful for. Would absolutely stay here again and can highly recommend it to anyone!
