Sandsletta Camping

It was a spontaneous sauna visit in Lofoten. We were staying in Laukvik. Despite the spontaneity, we were allowed to use the sauna for ourselves. The view and the location were absolutely beautiful. I would recommend it to everyone; there are even two saunas to choose from.

Great location for camping with views of the snow on the mountains and being right next to the fjord. We stayed only for 1 night in a tent. There are plenty of spots on nice grass to pitch your tent. It is good value for the money considering what others are charging. The staff in the reception/reception were very friendly and helpful 😀. The facilities are in one central block with separate men’s and woman’s. There are 2 showers and 3 toilets on each side and they seemed to be enough. The showers cost 10NOK for 4 mins and that is plenty of time with the very hot water and pressure available. The only negative is the kitchen area. It only has 4 hot plates and no oven or fridge. There is no where to sit inside and they only have 2 tables with seating under a roof. They do have a very good restaurant though where one can eat their delicious waffles and shelter from the weather if needed.

Nice place & personnel 👍 we stayed one night with a car and roof tent. Many parking options to choose from. All facilities were clean and working, and even found a warm room to have an online meeting. Next night we stayed at a cabin, which was also nice and moderately priced. ...and a private sauna for 400nok. 5/5
