Booked 4 nights. The room was soooo good and bed was comfortable. Paid for breakfast which was good, though not plentiful and you felt you had to watch what you put on your plate for worry not enough cooked breakfast for everyone else. What really upset me me as a lone traveller that no information or menus where shown that food was available for evening meals, nor told about any evening bar. I only witnessed a loan diner on my last night. There is no information in the rooms about facilities that normal hotels have. This meant that as a lone person I had to venture out into Inverness during the evening, when I really wanted to just eat in the hotel. I loved the rooms, but am now so disappointed that staff did not explain or promote facilities...the impression is that it was beneath the staff to inform of the hotel facilities. Based on what I spent outside of the hotel, they missed out on my custom by quite a few hundred pounds! Would I recommend...then I'd now recommend stay for lovely rooms only.

From the very moment we walked into the River Ness Hotel, Inverness, we were greeted with truly tremendous customer service by the Hotel Staff Shift Incharge, Chinmai. Even before we had the chance to view our rooms, her warm welcome, professionalism, and genuine care made our entire family feel completely at ease. She instantly gave us the confidence that we were in the best hands, leaving us with absolutely no doubt about staying at this hotel rather than considering any other options. Chinmai’s approach was exemplary, attentive, reassuring, and highly professional, while also being incredibly kind and approachable. She took the time to ensure we felt comfortable, valued, and well-informed, setting the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional stay. Her customer service goes far beyond expectations and truly reflects the highest standards of hospitality. The River Ness Hotel itself is an amazing and welcoming property. The rooms are spotless, beautifully maintained, and feel absolutely new. Everything from the cleanliness to the comfort and overall ambiance speaks volumes about the quality and care taken by the hotel management and staff. It is genuinely because of Chinmai’s outstanding service that we have decided to extend our stay in Inverness. She is a true asset to the hotel and a perfect example of how exceptional customer service can transform a stay into a memorable experience. We highly recommend this hotel and sincerely thank Chinmai for making our time here so special.

Stayed at River Ness Inverness for 2 nights. The room and bathroom were overall good: clean, comfortable and well designed. However, the service felt inconsistent. Housekeeping was not regular and had to be requested (it’s a special program but I didn’t know it). Breakfast service was also confusing: one day coffee was self-service at the counter, another day you had to ask for it, without any clear explanation. What stood out most was the overall atmosphere created by the staff. There often seemed to be more staff than guests, with a very supervisory attitude — present everywhere, but not particularly welcoming. Little smiling, more control than hospitality, which at times made me feel more like an inconvenience than welcomed. Even as a Radisson member, I’m not sure I would choose this hotel again, as the experience felt slightly uncomfortable rather than relaxed and got no special benefits from my membership. Overall, solid facilities, but an uneven and overly controlled service experience.
